This information is intended for Tournament or Tabulation Directors who wish to upload the results of their tournament to the website.
- Register yourself on the site and click, â??I am not a competitor.â?
- Navigate to the Tournaments page and Create a New Tournament
- Enter your tournament information.
- Add events and the follow the prompts to include the necessary information. Enter the number of students/teams that competed in each event. (The number of students/teams that actually competed in the event, not the number registered or confirmed for the event.)
- Create a â??Flagâ? for the tournament indicating your relationship to the tournament (Tournament or Tab Director or some other administrator for the tournament). Also indicate your intention to upload tournament data to the site.
- Speechranks Administration will the grant you â??tournament accessâ? allowing you to upload tournament data to the site and to make corrections and resolve Flags related to your event.
- You will see the following information when you click the "Upload Scores" box associated with the tournament.
- You will need three different types of spreadsheets saved in a .CSV file format.
- A student Contact Information spreadsheet with the following columns:
- Student's first name
- Student's last name
- Student's email
- Parent's email
- State
- Speech Club
- Debate Club
- A separate Speech Event Score spreadsheet for each speech event with the following columns:
- Student's name (first name then last name)
- Partner's name (if Duo)
- Final Place (= Final Standing or Place of Finish)
- A separate Debate Event Score spreadsheet for each debate event with the following columns:
- Student's name (first name then last name)
- Partner's name (if Parli or TP)
- Number of Prelim Wins
- Number of Outround Wins
- Number of Outround Losses
- Final Place (= Final Standing or Place of Finish)
- For tournaments where every student has a unique Place of Finish - the file should contain the final standings from First Place to Last Place (equaling the total number of students in the event). Do not leave the â??Final Placeâ? column blank for any of the students.
- For tournaments where every student does not have a unique Place of Finish - the Final Place column can be filled in with the following:
- The actual Place of Finish for those students for whom it is known
- The following special values for those students for whom a unique Place of Finish is not known:
- b = Broke to outrounds (speech only)
- p = Participated (did not break)
- f = Broke to finals (debate only)
- s = Broke to semis (debate only)
- q = Broke to quarters (debate only)
- o = Broke to octos (debate only)
- d = Broke to double octos (debate only)
- t = Broke to triple octos (debate only)
Every student needs a final standing assigned, be it a number place or letter place (as indicated above). Do not leave the â??Final Placeâ? column blank for any of the students.
